From 2019 to 2020 I was the director of The House of The Deadly Doris, located in the courtyard of the cult bar Kumpelnest 3000. Die Tödliche Doris was a post-punk artist band in 1980s West-Berlin and part of the Ingenious Dilletantes (sic!) movement. Together with the house team (Ahmad Hamad, Wolfgang Müller (the founder of the band and house) Richard Radzinski, and initially Dirk Schünemann) I organised eventualities, small and intimate events, to activate the House’s archive. In 2022, the House dissolved into the Walther von Goethe Foundation during the Goethe Morph* Festival at the Nordic House in Reykjavik.
In 2019 I acquired funding from Kunstfonds to organise the archive of The House. A Werkverzeichnis was created and published by Galerie K’ in Bremen, where the archive is now stored. In 2022, I published Material. The Archive of The Deadly Doris, a limited edition of 16 copies with a selection of archival material (AAAAA PPPPP Publishing).
The House created a travelling exhibition, entitled Die Tödliche Doris: Tournee. You can book it here.
