As a cultural historian I like to spend time in archives. Recently I have been exploring artistic approaches to the archive that include the senses, the imagination, and the body. In April / May 2023 I organised a month-long residency in two parts:
1. “Archives and Volcanoes” at Magazin Macura, an archive for artistic practices in Stari Banovci, Serbia with the artists Lucie Strecker (principal investigator for a three-year-long artistic research project "Shaken Grounds. Seismography of Precarious Presences"),and Helga Franza (director of Arthur Cravan Foundation, that organises a yearly festival in Sicily called Volcanic Attitudes). Supported by the Goethe Institute Belgrade and by Istituto italiano di cultura Belgrade.
2. “Call for Archives: Survival Kit” at Zeta Center for Contemporary Art, Tirana, Albania, with my newest platform minìsae (including Giorgia Minisini, a dancer and choreographer, and Camilla Crispino, researcher and educator in the somatic field and an artist of movement and written word). Supported by Goethe Zentrum Tirana and Istituto italiano di cultura, Tirana.
